Fighting Plastic Pollution

Only 8% of the plastics ever produced since 1950 have been recycled. During Climate Week NYC, The Nest Summit powered by FINTECH.TV talked plastic – millions and millions of tons of plastic – with Savannah Miller, VP of Sustainability of Better Earth which provides sustainable packaging solutions, along with James Sternlicht, Board of Director of Oceanic Global an international non-profit providing solutions to protect our oceans.  Climate change and plastic are of utmost importance to tackle. Together, we discuss our current challenges to combat plastic pollution, including the uptick during COVID-19 as take-out food in restaurants has increased significantly, along with the numerous opportunities to invest in renewable and regenerative solutions.
