HOTELS

Though there are many other hotels and short-term rentals such as VRBO and Airbnb, we have selected these hotels based on their proximity to the Javits Center, as well as their contribution to sustainability within the hospitality industry.

As an insider’s tip from we New Yorkers, the hotels situated in the most vibrant neighborhoods accessible to a variety of restaurants, theaters, and attractions are located in the zone that is 9-14 blocks from the Javits Center.

Most hotels and restaurants will require a vaccine card upon arrival.

Ask your hotel for Senior, Government, AAA Membership, and Military discounts prior to booking.

GETTING TO THE JAVITS CENTER

Jacob K. Javits Convention Center

The convention center where The Nest Summit Campus will take place is commonly referred to as “the Javits Center”. With its new addition, the Javits Center takes up many city blocks with multiple entryways. Our entry will be located at:

Javits North Entry

38 Street and 11 Avenue

NewYork, NY 10001

Also the most booked convention facility in the US, you can see what’s next at the Javits Center, including posted information on its continued contribution to sustainability.

Visit: www.javitscenter.com

Uber/Lyft/Taxi

Be sure to let your driver know to let you off at our entry at 38 Street and 11 Avenue. As a tip, the vehicle can stop directly under the Javits Center’s giant exterior digital billboard standing near the 38 Street entry.

Subway

Take the 7 Line to the last stop at Hudson Yards.

Boat

NY Waterway Ferry is the best way to get to the Javits Center from 7 New Jersey Terminals to the Midtown slip at West 39th St. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the Javits Center from the landing dock.

Car parking

If you are parking for the day, there are a variety of parking lots surrounding the Javits Center. Try to drive the smallest vehicle possible, as some garages charge extra for pick-up trucks, vans and SUVs.

Activities Surrounding Our Campus

The High Line

Across the street from the Javits Center

One of the many free entries to the High Line is across the street from the Javits Convention Center on 34 Street between 11 and 12 Avenues (middle of the block, south side of street)!

Once an industrial infrastructure and built on a historic elevated rail line, the High Line is intended to be more than a park. You can walk through gardens, view art, experience a performance, savor delicious food, or see the Hudson River all while enjoying a unique perspective of New York City.

Vessel Public Square and Gardens

7 Blocks from the Javits Center

This interactive artwork was imagined by Thomas Heatherwick Studio as a focal point where people can enjoy new perspectives of the city. Their design consists of 154 intricately interconnecting flights of stairs - almost 2,500 individual steps and 80 landings.

Access to the ground-level base is free and open to the public with no reservation required.

Edge

Edge

6 Blocks from the Javits Center

Edge is the highest sky deck in the Western Hemisphere located at 30 Hudson Yards, with a one-of-a-kind design, it’s suspended in mid-air, giving you the feeling of floating in the sky with 360-degree views you can’t get anywhere else.

Look 100 stories down from the thrilling glass floor, lean out over the city on angled glass walls and sip champagne in the sky. You’ve never experienced New York like this before.

Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum

13 Blocks from the Javits Center

This floating museum is dedicated to the exhibition and interpretation of history, science and service as related to its home aboard the aircraft carrier Intrepid, a National Historic Landmark. On display are the Space Shuttle Pavilion, Submarine Growler and British Airways Concorde.

The Intrepid Museum was founded in 1982 with the acquisition of the aircraft carrier ship USS Intrepid, which served tours of duty in World War II and the Vietnam War, and was a recovery vessel for the Gemini and Mercury space missions.

Restaurants

Manhattan is home to roughly 24,000 restaurants! We recommend asking your hotel concierge, or guide through the following website:

If you are feeling adventurous to discover a variety of restaurants by walking from the Javits Center, there is a nearby district of fun restaurants and pubs on 10 Avenue between 42 and 48 Streets.

Included below are a few sustainable dining recommendations from our partners at NYC & Company. For their full list, visit Sustainable Dining in NYC.

JaJaJa Mexicana

162 East Broadway, Lower East Side, Manhattan; 63 Carmine St., West Village, Manhattan; 450 W. 33rd St. @ Whole Foods, Hudson Yards, Manhattan; 119 Kent Ave., Williamsburg, Brooklyn (Hudson Yards location is closest to The Nest Summit Campus)

Plant-based and plant-filled, JaJaJa is a boozy, aqua-hued joint that evokes a Tulum beach café.

Rosella

137 Avenue A, East Village, Manhattan

Rosella is the only sustainable sushi restaurant in the City, featuring untraditional fish like porgy and steelhead trout from New York.

Lekka Burger

81 Warren St., Tribeca, Manhattan

For fast-casual vegan, you won't do much better than Lekka Burger. It's the brainchild of Dirt Candy's Amanda Cohen, so it has serious bona fides. There are five different styles of burgers, plus vegan shakes, zatar sumac fries and plenty of other items to satisfy your cravings.
